The problem with that reasoning is that only applies out of corners. Once you are on a straight, you don't apply a certain torque, but all you can. Thus, the 16% stress due to extra revs would only apply out of the corners, when you are traction-limited.n smikle wrote:You need 8% more rpm if you want to pull the same load.
stress increase due to rpm increase goes up by 1.08x1.08 = 1.166..
so you have an approximate 16.6% increase in stress due to rpms at the same load.
So the net effect AT THE SAME ENGINE LOAD is an increase in 8.6% stress on the parts.
I was thinking the same thing. I think we should call around and see if the old dear is ok.andrew wrote:Anyone else notice that one of the regular players in these threads is missing in action?
Is this a fact, or speculation? If fact, any clues what for?djos wrote:A certain controversial Member got a ban for the rest of the season.andrew wrote:Anyone else notice that one of the regular players in these threads is missing in action?

Hahahahaha. That is actually very funny. I'd almost do it just to see what happened.Alexpcenteno wrote:Today a Brazilian prosecutor said that Felipe Masssa can be arrested if he lets Alonso pass him in purpose. This is because Brazil has a new law this year that puts in jail for up to 6 (six) years sportmen or organizations that interfere with the results.
