Ferrari and mclaren strongest on this circuit. Alonso and Hamilton specifically, lewis in sector 3.
Vetel looks like he'll qualify 4rth.
For Sure!!

It's just practice Ringo! Red Bull's car hasn't suddenly turned to crap in the space of a few days - i'm sure they'll be up challenging for pole in qualifying.

Anthony Davidson just mentioned the "blue flames" from McLarens and RBRs feeding their blown diffusers. Any pics around?

Button's lack of pace due to him running a 2011 spec brake bias system that is causing him constant front locking.. he's been running it since Korea...

He's probably running lewis and barichello like compounds. Maybe it's too sharp, but theoretically better for the end of the long straight. Last year heiki tried the brakes Lewis uses and he wasn't happy with them at all. I suppose each driver has his preference.
Where did you pick up that it's the 2011 spec?

About Ferrari and Mclaren being the strongest,Vettel may put it in 2nd, and webber 4rth behind Alonso in q3. let me shut up now until the end of fp3.

button has nothing to lose ... maybe they just want to take the opportunity to test for 2011 ; is that what you mean ben ?

I think they need him to increase Hamilton's chances.
It's unlikely, but button being in the thick of things could mean Alonso not getting any points this weekend. Imagine button in 10th and Alonso 11th?

A 2011 brake part makes no sense if the car will be on different tyres next year? Interesting, but it could be a misunderstanding like how every thought the merc diffuser was 2011 spec.

Button's lack of pace is not a shocking surprise. Don't look for excuse :D

Alonso on 11th is an unlikely scenario in the first place though... unless there's a safety car. I can't remember... was there an SC Period last year?

Merc have probalby been running 2011 spec parts for the last few months.

In fact it could explain their sudden up in speed. They havent changed the flawed chassis, just added some bits for next years car that happen to be faster.
