Congratulations to RedBull and Sebastian Vettel. That was one hell of a championship run from him as well as Ferrari and Alonso. It was probably one of the most exciting seasons to date and no matter who won it, that wouldnt have changed it.

Looking forward to 2011 with moveable wings and the return or KERS as well as a different Pirelli approach.

Interesting, according to my calculations the outcome of the championship would look exactly the same with Ecclestone's medal system. The first difference would be the Kubica ahead of Rosberg because of his 2nd place in Australia.

Code: Select all

       1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th
1 VET 5 2 3 3 0
2 ALO 5 2 3 2 0
3 WEB 4 4 2 0 1
4 HAM 3 5 1 2 2
5 BUT 2 3 2 3 3
6 MAS 0 2 3 3 0
7 KUB 0 1 2 1 4
8 ROS 0 0 3 1 5
9 MSC 0 0 0 3 0
10 BAR 0 0 0 1 1
So this medal-thing doesn't influence the results, makes things more complicated and I really doubt if that would bring any excitement to the F1. This season was fantastic even without it.

No, i mean Alonso

look how much Alonso have done in this car .... he has 108 pts more than 2008 runner-up Massa, only in Renault we see more difference - 109 pts between Kubica and rookie Petrov ...

2nd in 2010 is very great result for Alonso in poor Ferrari

Many F1 drivers have had championships in their hands only to lose it, and then come back stronger the next year.

Webber seemed too slow today, considering the car he was in. His gap was too far from Vettels. I wonder if tires and fuel he just couldn't mount an attack on Alonso.

Alonso now must surely know how Hamilton felt back in 2007.

Divine justice definitely has a funny way of working out.

Renault helping the Red Bulls, but Jenson not helping Lewis even when he's %100 out. He could've easily slowed his pace and held Vettel a bit. Not that it would matter that much (in hindsight) but we could've seen a bit more exciting race.

About McLaren's strategy. They've screwed up - yet again ! Surprise surprise...

About Vettel. He could only lose with such a car. And lose he did, almost. Anyway, congratulations to the new (and youngest ever) World Champion.

That is a man taking it with grace. I mean he did 40 laps behind him, he was frustrated, give him some slack he just lost the WDC FFS
You post frustrates me my friend. Your double standard makes me cringe. Had it been Vettel or Hamilton especially, who behaved like Alonso today, you'd have been all over it.
Really? And waving hands is now reason to berate a driver?
It was heat of the moment and he certainly said nothing ill of Ferrari for calling him in early, as Hamilton already has done of Mclaren.
Cringe away brother....
Look on the previous page. You've been replied already.

Anyway, Alonso has got real class and character because he displayed frustration at Petrov, but not at Ferrari, those who lost him the championship. He's better than us all, isn't he?

No he would have if he could have I think. He was boxed in there was not enough time for him to react. He was concentrating on not hitting the cars on either side of him and simply didn't see Schumi before it was too late.

Hard to call that anything other than it was, a backwards car on the track causing chaos and collecting the Force India in the process.

Schumi is lucky to have retained his head on his shoulders. That could have been very bad.

Can someone please post the video of the red bull crew dancing in their pit lane. That scene was legendary!

My thoughts exactly, I think there's still a need to improve head protection in F1 car.

What a race!
Although I'm a die hard Ferrari fan, I have to say it is really a great and deserved result for Vettel. He was the one who did its best today!

Congrats to Sebastian, on a well fought title, this will be one will be the sweetest for him.

And finally we can get on from the Hockenhiem incedent and actually have the sport intact.

Great finish Vettel. He did deserve this one. He had a textbook drive with speed to spare from the Red Bull.

Unfortunately, I'm feeling really ripped off. I was really looking forward to seeing some scraps going on. Perhaps I was hyping the race too much in my mind. But, come on, Monaco is more exciting for passing. lol, I got really annoyed at hearing the commentator asking "will the Red Bull hold up?"... "will there be another maechanical failure?"... oh keep quiet already, they'll last.

This is probably a very nice circuit to drive, but let's say we ditch it and find us an exciting one. Oh, and bring back the tire wars too. But, all in all, I really enjoyed the season. In the end, and after such an eventful season at that, the championship was well deserved by Vettel. Unfortunately, for me, watching this race was like watching a train wreck in SUPER slow motion.
