My F1 car- Godsire

Hello everybody!

I would like to show my F1 car designed in a Solidworks. These are just few pictures, if you want, I will post more of them. The whole car is designed for 2011 season, but I will develop this car (for example front wing is really undeveloped, it is just a basic design and I will improve it- the same with other parts of a car). I wanted to learn how to use the program (generally CAD technology, because I was trying some other programs like CATIA but it was really difficult). The painting is also basic- I used rosso corsa and just white, the same as Ferrari, but I am thinking about new livery. I tried to make everything according to regulations (but
It gave me a lot of fun and some valuable experience. Here are the pictures (rendered in PhotoView 360)

Tell me what you think about it. As I said before I will make some changes to develop this car. I am thinking about CFD, I have a program (CFDesign) but I am learning how to use it properly

A decent first effort. It appears very tall to me, but that might just be how narrow the airbox section is. It seems to have a very small frontal area so thats good.

Have you done any work on the diffuser? It can't be seen from the pics.

the only thing of the car that botters me is how you are ever going to fit radiators in that? My sidepodsmwere already over-the-top, but these are even smaller.

if you were to fit the radiators to the inner tappered underside of the sidepods and gill the outside as to direct the flow around to the diffuser, the extra flow could help power the diffuser? Maybe this isnt ideal but it does make the car very slippy with such small sidepods. Plus the extra cooling vent at the back will be drasticaly smaller helping efficiency. the same efficiency that may claw back the downforce lost by usinf warm air from the rads to power the rear of the car.. dont give up on the side of the sidepods and make them larger because its "what the figures say" OR "its the norm" work at it.. Behind every aero idea, is a mechanical part small enough that allows it to happen.

I would suggest you try building it with surfaces instead of solids

Solids, are used for engine/suspension/transmission and similar mechanical parts, not the body of the car. With surfaces you have more control over the form and you get much better shapes. Try it out and see for your self, it can be a bit tricky at the start but once you get the flow right you'll get a nice car, not as "boxy" as this one...

Also does your car have pullrod suspension? the back around the gearbox looks really low.
