Using some lightweight wheels there.
Grip is a four letter word. All opinions are my own and not those of current or previous employers.

And thaere you immediately see where everyone goes wrong their first time, the sidepods as you are never going to fit big enough radiators in there, but further down there i would say everything will fit, though really really tight

Nice positive comments there guys!

It looks good for a first attempt. The comment about the sidepods is valid though -unless you want to try a 'cut away' image showing some clever radiator packaging. Would be good to see something like that. These models are all external surfaces and no internal stuff so you could be trend setter if you can do it... 8)

I think that it is pretty clear from the picture that he is not going for "realistic design" but a "beautiful design" or to put it this way: not the engineer's way but the designer's way

So if you judge it from an engineer's point of view, you'll have things to critique. If you judge from an designer's point of view however, the things to critique are not many.

Off course another thing to think about is: does it belong on a technical forum if it is purely a design exercise?

Well when seeing that, is the way how the tub flows into the sidepod side legal?

Missed that previously. Like it. A lot.

So much more interesting than the usual (although beautifully done) models.

Beauty is not legal, you should know it.

Whats to say this isnt a 1.6ltr turbo and doesnt need huge radiators. I cant see whay the sidepods wont be legal. they will create alot of DF on the leading edge but alot of drag/lift on the flat tops of the side impact area, but this car seams to have looks over needs. They look alot like the A1Gp cars from a while back. I can see this has been a labour of love for a couple of nights work. Looks very futuristic. CRAZY Front wishbones.

So Klthomas...do you carry on and make a good looking non legal car that looks out of this world or you going to tame it down and make a legal 2011/12 car?

Either way..great work.. love it so far

The 1.6L turbo engines will be producing about the same power as what we have now so the cooling requirements will be about the same. I.e. It will still need radiators of the same size as now.

additionally It will need charge air cooling .

and we need a comparable set of duct and radiator surface (same power produced by the engine roughly the same energy put into water).

I though these turbos would come with the ground effect rules, not next year already

Hey guys be kind he just started to learn the program.
I think it looks quite good what you are doing. All those missing details are just a matter of time.
