Development? Were any of them run through a CFD package to see what the various bits were doing? Just adding the latest bits from real F1 cars throughout the season, whilst fun, isn't 'development' in any meaningful way. Even if you thin k you have a grasp of what a given part does on e.g. the RB6 doesn't mean that just bolting it onto a car that is already an amalgamation of various designs will work.wesley123 wrote: LegendaryM's car wasnt the case either and becoming it more complicated with more winglet was because of regular development.
My car was pretty same either, things became more compicated as i understood these things better and it was just part of development and looking at other cars.
Mea culpa!wesley123 wrote:The fastest car of 2011 was also arguably the simplest in terms of 'bits and pieces'.
Or you can look into the future or you ment 2010
Agreed, those cars arent ran through any CFD or anything like that, but what I do is 'learn' from what I read and also see on other cars, and then modifying things afterwards. On parts i create I draw my own lines of how I think the airflow will go, learning from that too. Just 'simulating' the development of your car and going with what you know.Just_a_fan wrote:Development? Were any of them run through a CFD package to see what the various bits were doing? That's not to take away from the obvious effort and care that has gone into the models - they're all great but let's not get carried away with the word development here.
well its basicly like real f1 you score points like in real f1 and you make a team like in real f1 (with sponsors, drivers etc) you only get your welcome pack (which includes rule book) when you join the championship the best way to do this is to talk to one of the guys on msn messenger - thef1game@live.co.uk if you cant then talk over email. if you need any more help just ask matemachin wrote:How does that championship work then? I've looked on the site and it doesn't seem to say what the "rules" are, or how you score points???? Or maybe I just missed them?!
Machin
ok the best way to get involed is to add thef1game@live.co.uk on msn messenger if you cant does this for some reason send us an email and we will run you past on what to do .. but trust me its so much fun racing in the championship i have been in it for 2 seasons and this year i mangermed to win the drivers championshipwesley123 wrote:Agreed, those cars arent ran through any CFD or anything like that, but what I do is 'learn' from what I read and also see on other cars, and then modifying things afterwards.
