Hey all. We all know that it's common practice to set a car up with less wing than is optimal for cars to be able to defend or attack another car better. I was thinking about this, but something didn't quite click for me. When a car is setup with less drag, sure there would be a lot less drag, but wouldn't they suffer on traction from the last exit, losing out on precious acceleration there? I mean, you have to get to a low speed before you can accelerate to the higher speed right? Also, wouldn't they have to gear the cars longer, and so suffer on acceleration there? Negating some of the lower drag benefits?
Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks
