Seemingly McLaren have been doing some Back To Back Pireppi and Bridgestone runs.

As disappointed as I am in autosport for making this a pay service, I don't mind spending roughly 3 dollars for a month of the service. Their updates are very good!

BBC are reporting that McLaren have some Bridgstone tyres.
Four tyres belonging to Bridgestone - last season's tyre suppliers - were also spotted in the back of a McLaren truck this morning.

Is it too early to figure out who's fast in the straights vs who's fast in the corners?

it doesn't say much, but out of curiosity here are last year's times for the first day in Valencia. Too much has changed - no ddd/tdd, different tyres, maybe KERS (or ballast?), so over a second is pretty much that outcome

Total distance covered today was 2,863.575km, that was by 12 teams. Exactly 12 months ago it was 2,014.515km by only 7 teams. The average in 2010 was 287.787km per car per day, 2011 is 238.631km per car today.

Thus, is relyability down???

Im not reading anything into times at the moment, just dont see why untill all teams have all their 2011 cars out and most of them have been optomised as relyable.

If the MP4-26 is at all an improvement on the MP4-25, then I think McLaren will be impressive this year. The MP4-25 looked very fast down the straight only with F-Duct whereas others were maybe using KERS and ARW together

Ambrosio with a 1.16... just 2 seconds of the pace...how is that ...I don´t think Nick Wirth has suddenly found the soft spot of the aging virgin..??

Virgin could be closer than usual due to them running low fuel levels, the Pirellis suiting the car better, DiAmbrosio driving the wheels off the thing or Nick Wirth discovering a Negative Space Wedgie or possibly a Swirly Energy Thingy

elaborated conspiracy theory! :D :D :D

Virgin has been collaborating with the CERN to develop a car that creates micro black holes to increase gravity, but only when DiAmbrosio drops some of that rearside gas -- guess we'll see more bean cans and different healthier diets at MVR

Do you think Red Bull will be playing a new game this year of not doing any sand bagging in the hope of drawing out their competitors? As CH said, the psychology has changed now they are world champions, I should imagine they are keen to see the true potential of all of their competitors.

Good to see Di Resta right up there in the timings. 3rd at the moment. And ahead of Hulkie, who you can't help feeling thinks he has the right to be a main driver ahead of Di Resta. Love it.
