The Bosch direct-injection system squirs minuscule jets of diesel fuel into the combustion chambers under pressure of about 2000 bar or 29000 psi.
The April issue of Road and Track has an article on the R10, and it's stated that the Bosch fuel injected system was specially developed for this racing engine, and that pressures "far exceed" the production pressures of 23,200 psi.
For now, the power figures are 650 HP and 811 ft lb of torque. Max useful RPM is 5,000.

ya I got my info from car and driver, I love Road and Track because they never stuff on SUV's or Trucks

But Motor Trend is so horrible, they lack quality
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.

I wouldn't say Motor Trend lacks quality; however recently their articles have been filled with too many metaphors and comparisons...

I think Taurus Sport asked for help from VW group, but they refused (most likely due to Audi). They relied on Caterpiller for diesel help.

Your half right. The Darar Toureag used half of the V10, it was a 2.5l straight 5.

If you rocked up to the Dakar with a 5litre V10 you would be forced to run nanotube restrictors!
Dont dream it, do it.
