A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
Perhaps it's not actually a "Technical" discussion, and i fear that the moderators might think the same, but I too hope that Team Lotus continue to be Lotus.
Last year I was in two minds, but now I think they've earnt the right (or at least paid for the right) to call themselves Lotus, and being English I always like the underdog story.
Imagine how cool it'd be if Team lotus romped to the WCC an WDC this year... That'd be fantastic! (note: I don't think that's likely to happen this year but it could totally happen soon!)
The answer to the ultimate question, of life, the Universe and ... Everything?
With regards the car:
When looking at the airbox inlets(s) the top portions are ducted to the engine. But the bottom portions, where to they vent to? Does the air from here travel though under the engine cover to cool the gearbox etc?
Silence is golden when you don't know a good answer.
The new front wing will be ready for Bahrain test since it is still under development (wind tunnel)...if you look carefully, there are many other teams that is still using their 2010's font wing...

I am not sure if I would call HRT snoozefest, maybe in relation the the lotus. But they seem to have taken a big step as well (only from a average joe visual)
This is a great looking car though, so smooth and sleek. I like.
