Hulkenberg to AMuS:
Second corner:
- Red Bull: early on throttle, stable throught the whole corner, stable during accelaration
- Toro Rosso: Has to back off in the next lefthander, less stable, more understeer. Getting worse every lap as the tyres go off.
- Marussia Virgin: Very bad understeer, blocks the inner front wheel during braking, suspension settings are "bruatally stiff"
Chicane:
- Mercedes: Rosberg attack the curbes heavily. He likes the balance of the Mercedes
- Toro Rosso: well balanced
- Virgin: Glock wrestling the car through it. Stiff suspension. Has to brake 5 meter earlier than other cars
- Ferrari: unstable under braking (could be due to KERS). Best car in high speed corners.
- Renault: Petrov takes a different line through the chicane. Sounds like 'damaged' engine
Two corners before chicane:
- Renault: almost no understeer, but instable rear under braking
- Mercedes: stable rear, but a lot more understeer
- Ferrari: understeer, but early on the throttle. Even when unstable easy to drive. Looks faster than Mercedes
- Toro Rosso: wobbling rear
Fast lefthander:
- Ferrari on a different line than Mercedes, but Ferrari looks a lot faster. Mercedes seems to be heavier though.
- Sauber: nervous rear end
- Toro Rosso: Alguersuari uses the kerbs on the exit, meaning he has confidence in the car as a little understeer will put you off track.
Final corner:
Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren are all stable under braking, and the drivers are early on the throttle The three are quite close together in the same league.
