that seriously is ugly. Got a peugeot look alike nose it seems plus the sides seems really high waisted.

Now im looking at it it seems like the whole car is just photoshopped, these gills arent real which is clear. Apart from that the whole nose seems to be taken off the peugeot and put on the Aston Martin. Then, where does the diffuser air exit?

The nose isn't like the 908. It's MUCH higher.

Real or Photoshopped, I wonder if
1) the Aston engine will be reliable with so little real world running
2) will the ACO REALLY make gasoline engines competitive agianst the diesels

With belt line of the car being so high and the 2 gaping hole and the boat looking divider on the nose, I wonder if they are going with the route like the R15(the original, not the plus) and using some kind of "internal" aero solution above the floor...the ultra narrow inline 6 should facilitate that too...if they keep the turbo/exhaust packaging is kept far back and compact.

I guess they homologated it as an upgrade package for ARX-01 and it most likely has the same tub. Only brand new cars are required to have a fin.

The fin is I believe ACO rules, IMSA holds onto similair rules though they are on a few points different, I expect them to have a weight penalty though, same as they had last year with running the b and c, the first with the full span wing and the c with the swan neck wing

What Pandamasque is saying is also likely.

Over the car itself, I doubt it being a winner, as said it is still on the same car base which is just aging, as an team with such high goals you cannot show up with an car tracing is lineages out of an 5 year old car.

ALMS confirmed several times that this year they will enforce ACO rules to the letter like it's done in Europe. However the amount of restriction for the gradfathered cars may differ (only in non-ILMC races).

Also I disagree with wesley123. I expect this car to be on par with the best petrol entries this year. ARX-01c was a dominant car in P2 in 2010 and this year the rules literally came their way. The worrying is not the car itself but the (lack of) Patron money for Highcroft this year.

Well, it is an Le Mans built car, so what i ment was it to take on the Audi and Peugeot diesels. I certainly do believe them to be an ALMS race winner, might face some competition from the Drayson Lola(if they are running this year that is), but compared to the diesels they will be nothing.

I expect this to be the closest car to the diesel if not matching them. Much like the rest now this car also has the wide front tire and carries much of the development lineage of the ARX cars, which have all been fast. Its hard to play with the factory diesels but they have done well enough in the past....

I certainly expect this to be faster than the Aston...be it as the new Aston at Le Mans or the Muscle Milk Aston Lola in ALMS....

Drayson is not in ALMS anymore.
