Mercedes GP W02

indeed the upgrade does apear to be working rather well with Schumacher running around .3sec slower than Webber while fueled for a midlength stint.
Maybe just maybe Mercedes are in better shape than the detracters would have us believe.
If the car has constistency I'd expect Michael to be ruffing it with the front runners. Britney seems more timid with wheel to wheel battles

Hey JET, in your picture, is there still burnt paint on the engine cover?

Look closely at 20cm right of the gills, it seems to me that there is burnt paint. Does the exhaust go backwards first and then bends forward?

Looks like body roll mainly. Doesn't look like a particularly fast corner anyways.

That's exactly what I've thought. Some fast corner photo would be nice.

If you look at the angle between the left and right part of the wing, it's definitely flexing.

Disappointed with the shape of it though, apart from the bending it's just the old one with a tiny slot...

Correct, its body roll due to the lack of rear springs on the modern cars.
they design the upper suspension arm to provide the "spring" and only run dampers. Spring rate is altered by a air chamber on the damper. These units are much smaller and more compact than the older coil springs or more recent torsion bar
the teams do this to make the rear end more supple and that provides better traction.
With the smaller diffusors in use this year there is no need for a very stiff rear end since the flow is not as affected as last years double diffusors when the rear of car rides up and down on bumps.

Is there a new inverted L shape on the Front wing elements? (seen on the left side near the petronas lettering)

Don't forget even small changes on FW can make some notable difference
