Sauber C30 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's a new tracking technique for telemetry data. The car lays down bits of bodywork around the track, and then they can trace where it went.

Now that we see it from a vertical perspective that thing could be Pinocchio's biggest rival

Oh no! Everytime Ackerman gets mentioned it starts a long debate about which is which. To avoid the debate (or for general knowledge), there is an entire thread about it: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8874&hilit=ackerman

I think the steering geometry is dictated by the tyres, to an extent.

Most probably. I believe there is only one inlet and it is in the right sidepod because I haven't seen any in the left one.

last year some teams started that trend already.and with three wheeling now apparantly having a renaissance it is maybe something not so important?

Hopefully the Ferrari exhaust solution is in the works for this car, it could also tighten up the rear end.

Pretty smart they use a Ferrari/Redbull style side-pod. No undercut/narrow radiator.

Oz.

This year the car has more than enough sponsor logos, but ironically they clash with the simple and elegant livery. And it seems that almost all of the sponsors are Mexican! (Maybe that's my way into F1, I need a job at one of those companies when I graduate!)

Got to love the fact that an F1 team is sponsored by a tequila brand... Drink and drive?
