Sauber has obviously received more from ferrari than just the engine/gearbox combo. The resemblance with the F2003GA is stunning. Even little details as the placing of infrared sensors for the rear tyres. I am not sure how to qualify this, but isn't there a rule against this!?!? I cannot take suaber seriously anymore, because if they have succes, it is not Willy Rampf and his team that should get the credit....
But if it's the F2003GA Monocoque with some extra dressings and updates from the Sauber crwe, how did it fail the mandatory impact tests? The F2003GA passed last year, so if this is it, why would this one fail? Also if a chassis fails the test, do the designers have to go back and redesign the monocoque, includings all new moulds, CAD and building a new car altogether?
"I'll bring us through this. As always. I'll carry you - kicking and screaming - and in the end you'll thank me. "
If Sauber use a rebadged Ferrari drivetrain, wont this mean they need radiators, hoses and electronics in the same places? So is a Sauber designer going do design his own bodywork or is he going to use a proven bodywork set up,as proven by the world champions four years running? Surely adopting bodywork similar to Ferrari is logical?
