The PPIHC is one of my favorite motorsports events to attend. There is such a diverse group of vehicles and drivers/riders competiting. I was just clearing some stuff off my computer and saw a few photos I've taken there over the years and decided to make a posting of some of them here. Here are a few of my favorites:

Fantastic photos, thanks for sharing.

You know I've never noticed the snow up there before!

Is mountain goat the slang for the GTO in the PP circle? :)

Well, it was just a name my friends and I came up with since GTO fans call them goats. When the race was covered in magazines a few months later, a few used it so I guess we werent alone in coming up with that name. In 2004, the race was actually only run part of the way up the mountain in the afternoon because of a snow thunderstorm we had up at the top of the mountain. It is the only place I've seen snow, sleet, hail and lightning at the same time! :shock:

Glad you guys enjoy them. I have many more photos from other events. Maybe I will compile some of my favorites from other events and make another thread. Would you guys be interested?

As many as I can manage. :D I try to make it to at least one rally, a historic race meeting, a few concours, a few random trackdays, an ALMS race, Pikes Peak and the USGP. However, I am trying to get to LeMans this June for the 24 Hours, so I may not make as many events this year.

I love the Miura, as well as the Dino. Have you got any of them? Sorry for being so fussy.

Pictures look great. Some really nice pan blur on a few of them, good lighting, great subject, cool angles, defiently gets Sodders seal of approval.


Pikes peak is a great place. Such a great welcome to the Rockies when driving in from the bordom that is Kansas and Eastern Colorado. Someday I'll make the climb, it looks like you had enough fun to go around.

Thanks for the pictures I really enjoyed them.

By Dino I assume you mean the Enzo that is the color rosso Dino, and the answer to your question is yes, I have more of them. I won't be able to post them for a few days since I am leaving Michigan for NY and much of my stuff is packed up already. I'll get them up eventually.

Thanks for the compliments and I def agree about the drive through Kansas and eastern CO. I have been to the Hill Climb four years now. A friend from college lives close by Pikes Peak and I stay with him, so the trip is much cheaper. If you can make it I suggest you do ASAP, bc the environmental whackos are trying to get the whole highway up the mountain paved. If that happens the race may no longer exist, and def will never be the same. The current mix of pavement and dirt makes things quite interesting though due to tire selection problems and such.

They want to pave it?? And asphalt is better for the environment? Morons!

I should see it one day but it's a fair trip for a motorsport event :)
