McLaren's blown floor exhaust solutions?

Post

I've been facinated by the exhaust blown floor thread and it's great to read so many theories from some very clever guys.

My questions are:

What exactly was McLarens so called "radical over complicated" exhaust solution that caused them such a grief?

What other configurations did they test?

What solution have they settled for and why would it apparently give "over a second" in performance over the scrapped radical system?

Go to it chaps.

Thought i would revive this as there are a few similarities between the position maclaren are in now (silverstone) and pre season testing. Would be interesting to see what peoples takes are on the question now.
