I was just thinking if they can use the DRS on every straight quali times might be close.

Oh yeah. We haven't factored in DRS. Hmm. Could be fun. I wonder if RB will anticipating a strong qually and gear their DRS so that they get more laptime overall rather than more straightline speed (If the two entail going in different directions)

Just read that Mclaren have brought the "octopus" exhaust system to AUS, anyone have more info on this semi-legal system?

Also they are predicting sunny skies for Sunday afternoon in Melb :)

Mixed conditions would be perfect. ...just dreaming...

Hmm on what data do you base this assumption that RB will be fastest in the dry??

Much as I am a Vettel fan and would love to see him lap the whole filed, I don't think RB would have that much of an advantage. Stable (relatively) regs would mean the field will close up

Well I read that Alonso set his 1m21.6 at Barcelona on supersofts and also 15kgs fuel.
Well this bodes fantastically well for Mercedes and F1 in general if thats the case.
Because with Mclaren reportedly ditching their complex exhaust, we have 3 teams within a ball hair of each other and Red Bull ahead, by how much not even they know.

A Classic year awaits us I think. I dont want to put the markers on 2011, but 4 teams looking strong with 3 jokers in the pack(Renault, Sauber and Williams) you have to say it looks promising.
More could have been done.

Again. We still really don't KNOW anything. We speculate, we guess, we educated guess... but nothing is known yet. Not until Q3

I just followed F1technical and all relevant GB and German media, calculated through some race sims and tatataaaaaaa: Red Bull was in Barcelona1 80 seconds faster over the race distance than Ferrari. And Red Bull was sandbagging... maybe Ferrari sandbagged too. But I think Red Bull has a major advantage. I hope Renault is powerful enough to promise us an exciting race/season. Maybe Williams and Sauber or Mercedes will surprise toooooooo. Can't wait! Only fourteen hours.....
