I just meant this competition is very creative, and what someone does with their money can often mean far more than how they made it. Also sponsoring people making airplanes to crash into the ocean, soap box derbies, etc.

Advertising doesn't have to be a constant sucky barrage at us, and Red Bull shows us how.

Oh definately. The company certainly knows how to wisely spend an advertising budget. And, I'm quite sure there is more than simple money making behind it. I'm sure the company wants to improve it's image in certain sectors and with certain demographics.
