Why would it need to be hard? Alonso couldn't pass petrov if he was parked :P

They can use it a couple meters after the final turn (which leads to the pitstraight).
The DRS detection line is on the backstraight 200 meters before the final turn.

Thanks mate! So only on one point at the circuit. I'd thought they could use it on more places,...

Track temp : 31C, Humidity : 81% ! There's raining only 10km away according to commentators.

Webber just pitted and there is light rain.

And what an interesting start.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Button-Massa-Alonso train pans out. The same scenario played out in Australia, so I'm curious to see if there is a similar double "overtake" by Alonso.

And Alguersuari is 11th behind Buemi. So far he's been beaten by him all weekend. Not good.

Both Renaults were immense!

It's away to get messy. Vettel, Hamilton and Alonso on new softs and the rain is starting.

Damn, Heidfield's pass on Hamilton robbed us of a first stint pace comparison with Vettel.

Umm, how did Alonso end up 4 seconds behind Button again (lap 28)?
