Hey F1T,
I have searched everywhere on techniques used to dye black plastic a lighter color.
Obviously you can only dye light to dark but is there a way to fade or bleach black plastic to its native color and then dye it?
I have tried letting the piece of polymer soak in hot bleach bath overnight, no effect. I have used just about every household solvent I can think but still no effect...
I have heard that UV radiation will lighten the black but also make the piece brittle, so im not going to try that.
Any ideas/suggestions?
