...

Correct me if I'm wrong; Hamilton is 0.5 sec slower than Vettel in S1, 1.1 secs (omg) slower in s2, yet the final gap is only 0.166 ?!? How ? Are McLaren 1.5 secs faster than Red Bull in S3 ? Maybe the bulls weren't using the DRS ? (or maybe I read it all wrong lol)

Any ideas ?

Yes I would say we didn't see any low fuel runs yet from the top teams.

They will break into the 1.34s.

I agree
This is the 2010 fastest quali lap time.
1. Sebastian Vettel Germany Red Bull-Renault 1:34.558
All things considered I think that time will be equaled, or
possibly surpassed.

1:34s? Big maybe. Vettel had a mid 1:34 last season for P1..... Not sure on this track but I think it will be like Sepang this year and be a good second+ slower.

Comparing Malyasian quali is probably not a good comparison. Quali was on a wet track. The 2010 times were very slow in comparison to 2011.

2010 1 Mark Webber 1:49.327
2011 1 S Vettel Redbull 1:34:870 12

Australia was just slighty faster this year.
2010 S Vettel Red Bull 1:23.919
2011 S Vettel Bull-Renault 1:23.529

They may not get to the 1:34's but I think that may only be because RB are not using KERS!
But then again I may be way wrong
It is as you said a "big maybe" 8)

For all of the people from the states in here, SpeedTV is streaming FP3. Although I used a BBC stream yesterday and now I may use it again, in reality it wasn't better but it was a pleasant change especially with Anthony Davidson commentating. He did a good job of keeping it on topic when the other guys went on a random tangent.

Webber comes out finally, and is back in again. KERS still wrong?
