The car is still being repaired so it looks like he is not going to get out in this session.

WOw that thermal image of the Mclaren was really cool. I should have been doing a screen cap so I could post.

Ferrari's new engine map is sounding very ugly. Alonso on problems now...stopped in pit entry.

The Ferrari EBD sounds rough. I've heard smoother bandsaws!

With Alonso being pushed I guess Massa is faster than him. I wonder if he understands this message? Couldn't resist and I make no apologies!

I was going to comment on the overrun being applied today. Lots of it, and nearly everyone. Ferrari sounds ugly as, like a bucket of bolts.

Mercedes are looking fast but a bit twitchy. One more team faster than Ferrari is always good.

McLaren appear to be running (a fast) shopping trolley again - haven't seen it set up quite so hard yet this season. Twitchy but planted, though not quite flat through T8s.
Yer.

The braking analysis shows very clearly two teams have very flexible wings, mclaren and redbull. The others barely move, even though the car is rocking dramatically under braking.

The on board of Vettel's crash showed 7.2g for the impact against the barriers. No idea how accurate that might be but it's the same readout that gives the cornering g reading.

With that kind of rapid deceleration you would expect instantaneous forces much higher than 7g, I think that probably hits the limit of what the sensor can detect.

Well it seems we can clear up the Tyre allocations. Teams indeed only get 3 sets of full wets for each race.
And looking at the wear rates as discussed by the BBC commentary team, it appears Pirelli boss Hembrey wants to have more.
