It's just confirmed that the race will stay in Istanbul. Turkish TV is reporting that Bernie confirmed the contract extension in a BBC interview.

Contact between Schumacher and Petrov. Petrov a bit optimistic with a massive lunge. An overtake from that far back is always going to end in tears!

Schumacher need a new wing but Petrov seems to be ok.

It was a bit of a lunge, but Schumi turned into his wheel. It was obvious :)

He had lost the position, and turned into the guy who passed him. Trying to put your car where another car is will usually end in tears.

Petrov came from miles back and was way too optimistic. Schumacher was commited to his line round the corner and found a speeding Russian in the way. No malice by either driver I don't think so maybe closer to a racing incident.

Rosberg seems to be going backwards. Is his DRS working?

More racing in the pitlane. Dodgy release by Ferrari.

You need to watch it again. Yes Petrov was too optimistic, but MS had the option to not turn in. Just watch it again and you will see. He was not committed to a line, he turned in. It was in is power to nto turn into a lunging Petrov.

Hmm is there another example in the past of MS turning in on a lunge?

Both commentators saw it the same as me. He turned in.

EDIT: Of course, I will watch it again after the race before saying %100.

I've got Radio 5 on (Karun Chandhock and David Croft) and they both say there was no foul by MS.

The latest incident was OK until Sutil decided to have a go for a gap that wasn't there.

I can't stand the BBC 1 commentary as they are so biased it is unbearable!

Logically, the only way for Petrov to have taken off Schumachers front wing from the inside line would be to back over it, or to have Schumacher turn in. Maybe the FFE sucked the Merc to him?

Petrov was unable to turn in to Shumacher, he was turning AWAY form MS. Therefore, Schumacher turned in to a Petrov who already clumsily had the inside line.

Think about it.

Schuie up to his old tricks again. He needs to stop trying to scare the current crop of drivers by turning in to them - they aren't easily scared.

Time to retire Michael, again.
