The tyres seem to be inside in that picture, although the truth is you cannot say from the picture, as the line is hide by the car. The line is part of the track, you have to clear it completely to incur in a penalty.

I must be crazy, I like F1 in any of its manifestations, be it manifested through a Cooper Climax or an F150.

Especially considering that McLaren, and Ferrari have both said their big updates are coming for Spain, rather than Turkey. I'm sure more teams than just those two will have big packages for spain.

Michael accepted that the loss of his front wing was his fault. Good to hear drivers accepting their mistakes instead of blaming everyone else (as some are wont to do).

BTW, where's the outrage for Massa's unsafe release and driving over the blue line. I recall certain little hypocrites here were up in arms when it was Hamilton doing it some time ago (not to mention Vettel was pushing him out then too, while Hamilton behaved this time like we were saying back then Vettel should have done).

Good race. It was certainly better than what was the average F1 race in 2010 and previous. DRS - I like it, it is just up to the race organisers to fine tune the Length of the DRS zone.

Is it just me or does Vettel's dominance in that RB7 brings back memories of Michael in his Ferrari's? I mean the guy is just driving off into the sunset every race! One really has to wonder if the championship is over already since the RedBull can only get better.

Getting that way – just at the moment it only reminds me of Button's dominance in the Brawn, but it's certainly getting to Schumacher levels.

It's the classic situation of a top driver in a the best car. We've seen it many times over the years and it's definitely a case of "what goes around, comes around". Someone else will build the dominant car at some point and we'll see the RedBulls in the chasing pack. That's one of the things that makes long term following of F1 interesting.

his quote was ,that he was surprised by Petrov trying the inside line when he was protecting ,but he thought he had left enough room for Petrov .Obviously this was not the case so he openly admitted that he thinks that he himself was to blame for this incident..but wanted to reserve final judgement after watching the pictures.
To me Petrov was darting straight instead of making the corner and this caused the contact...he was simply a bit too quick still to turn .

I agree that Petrov wouldn't have made the corner, but that's not what caused the contact. In fact, it mitigated it slightly – if he'd been slow enough to make the turn, he would have been only side by side instead of rear wheels to front wing.

Awsome race, the key is to stay on Vettel´s gearbox if you want to challenge him for the win, otherwise he will just run away with it.

Alonso, man you showed us why you are the best driver in F1 at the moment. To get a podium with that car and match the RBR´s for most of the time during the race is just wonderful.

I don't think that had anything to do with Alonso really – he outperformed Massa certainly, but the Ferrari is clearly a much improved car.

I think it did. I wouldn´t say much improved. Slightly improved imo. Race pace has always been good.
He almost snatched 2nd place, i think he could have if he would have saved another set of options.
