I think that is the case. They went in at the deep side...when you even don´t get your fuelconsumption right you know there is not much F1 expertise in this team.wesley123 wrote:@marcush; The problem of what i understood was the lack of experience in Formula 1 they have. Team Lotus is just a few Force India guys and most of the sacked Toyota staff, they have the knowledge.
What is Wirth Research? These guys have experience in building LMP's designing the Acura's but what further do they really know? They where much involved in the run towards the 2005 and onwards LMP rules making the cars less aerodynamicly sensitive. They did similair things for formula 1 having quite a big hand in development to the 2009 rules. They have never built a Formula 1 car before, at least not in this meaning. With the small amount of cash incolced in the development of the cars one can say they did an outstanding job. They should(and i bet they are) now build towards 2013 with the new rules that are coming.
Bob Bell go from Enstone because he got fired. Renault wants to take higher risks in a different direction in the development of the car, after painful 4 years with Bell and his conservative approach, which did not bring anything except for 4 cars for the garbage. Bell may have experience, but he did not bring anything good to Renault, and is now in a Mercedes. I do not know why you think that the team will leave with him in Mercedes. For God's sake he's not Adrian Newey! And Renault finaly have decent car for podiumsESPImperium wrote: * Renault in danger of loosing its technichal team on 2 factors; The Bob Bell factor as he is to be overhauling the Mercedes technichal staff for 2012 with a few Renault guys going to Brackley from Einstone. The second factor is the doubt of who is actually employing them, Renault/Lotus/GenII.
Not sure about Rosberg. Would you go from number 1 at a well funded team like Merc to being Alsonso's fag*? The only exception would be someone like Kimi who'd rather have an ice cream (or a s**t) than get involved with the Ferrari/Alonso politics. I imagine Kubica could do that, if he was fit.beelsebob wrote:My bet for 2012 line ups...
Mercedes - DiResta + Sutil (Schumacher's going and DiResta is hot tip to replace him... Rosberg is rumored to be replacing Massa, and there's not many other people who could replace him sensibly)
Ferrari - Alonso + Rosberg (As above)
