I'm still waiting to see if this is true, this could flip the order, but would be very harsh to team that built there new exhaust with that in mind being the biggest benefit. Merc and Renault should benefit from this.

The blown diffusers will still work, just not as efficiently as before. I wonder why they would ban it all of a sudden? Because of the expense put into it? I hope it's true... I want to see how the Bulls are affected; will they be even further ahead, closer to their nearest rivals, or behind?

Wow, that may mix up the grid... Will the RB7's huge rake angle work without this? Will McLaren have anything to catch up with without this? Will Ferrari get screwed up – their car has one of the most distinctive overrun noises.

I think this is a hoax. But it would be interesting. Maybe the bulls would suffer, with this rake and no closed "sideskirts" anymore!

IMHO it is irresponsible to force a rules change on such short notice. Only a concern for safety could justify it, and we have seen no evidence that ex blown diffusers OR retarded ignition are in any sense dangerous. I think it is safe to assume that changes will be required and that means MORE expense to the teams. WTF?

It certainly could be part to do with stopping the RB7 running at such an extreme rake angle... If you can't overrun the exhaust, you can't make the theorised mega-large diffuser using the gasses as walls, so your diffuser ends up miles off the ground and operating inefficiently, so you can't run the rake angle, so you can't get the front wing on the ground. Or something to that effect.

In other news, I think it is a hoax too : this kind of change would always be accompanied by a press release ... F1 is possibly the most media conscious sport on the planet, so this kind of "leak" should not be trusted until Bernie's aide is handing out the PR materials.
