HRT F111 Cosworth

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

also their rear wing is different compared to the rest of the field, they cut out the higher part of the wing reducing the frontal area of the wing, AoA didnt seem to have changed much

Looks like whoever said about there being a big upgrade for this race was right. Is there also a small livery change? I don't remember there being black highlighting on the FW.

Yeah Francesc. I notice as well. Too poor to make new brake ducts? Or were they simple overlooked?

Well, you need big brake ducts for Montreal. It's really hard on them.

Montreal is a notorious brake eater : the circuit is high speed, but very stop start.

There are a lot of virtually right angled corners, necessitating much heavier braking than is required on more flowing circuits.

Well done to HRT finishing 13th & 14th the live timing seems to suggest HRT have overtaken Virgin in pace, but who knows for sure with those kinds of conditions.

Liuzzi was legitimate for P13, Karthekeyan cut the chichane to pass Glock, a 25 second post race drive thru will apply,m drops him to P17.

The P13 for Liuzzi puts Hispania into P11 of the Constructors table, whitch pretty much says they are at the same pace as last year now with their last development to come at Silverstone, same as Virgin. So for the rest of the season after then the 2 teams can battle it out on who can set their car up the best.

Yes I saw that after I posted, I wonder why Narin never gave the place back. I thought it was because he blocked Massa?. BBC is too much focused on the front its hard to follow much of the back marker race.
