What do you think of the prospect of a USGP 2012 at Austin Texas

Good thinking. Place has good infra structure and nice climate in winter.

Not good as it has no motor sport tradition in the US.

I'm not going to get too overwrought about this latest development. It wouldn’t be America without a lawsuit thrown into the fray. If the project does get shot down I will be relieved in the knowledge that, that is why god created TV (just kidding, I don't think god created TV or Jerry Springer) although this is a story that is turning into something you would read in "The Sun", I won't get really brassed off, or have a Benny. (anticlockwise)
Que Sera, Sera!
Once again I will simply defer to "The Bard"

All:
God save your majesty!

Cade:
I thank you, good people—there shall be no money; all shall eat
and drink on my score, and I will apparel them all in one livery,
that they may agree like brothers, and worship me their lord.

Dick:
The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers.

Cade:
Nay, that I mean to do.

“All applicable state rules and regulations were followed,” Allen Spelce, spokesman for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, told the Austin Business Journal in response to the lawsuit. “Like other Major Event Trust Fund events, such as the Super Bowl, NBA All Stars and the Final Four, we feel the F1 event will be good for Austin and Texas. By bringing F1 to Austin we create jobs and spur economic development. The comptroller’s office has followed the law as it is laid out in statute and administrative rules.”

I couldn't say it better.
That's the way we roll over here (unfortunately) One of the plaintiffs is an unemployed teacher that has gotten a high end law firm to represent her (pro bono of course, just for the publicity) So The State will eat up 25 + million in the process of executing this shoot 'em up, even though the funds came directly from the coffers designated to attract major sporting events. It's actually a rather a strange dichotomy. what is really going on is the liberal faction of Austin don't want this race to redneckafy their otherwise eclectic progressive city with loud noise and gas guzzling cars, not good for their image.
Once again I am presented with more evidence that:
fact is truly stranger than fiction.

A vet, congrat’s, and thank you my friend. I never had the opportunity to serve my country, although they would have gladly taken me to Vietnam! :?

I saw a lot of good shoot outs between Joe Willie and John Hadl in my youth at SD Stadium.

Wonder how much Houston shelled out for the NCAA tournament this year. I think we all know what would've happened if it'd been at Rupp Arena.

And rightly so, as little as I would like to sponsor a horsebackring event, I would see my tax-money thrown away to CVC.
