Tonight I watched Pixar's Cars 2 and thought maybe some of the people on here may have watched it and thought it was cool.

Some tidbits that touch on our world of F1:

Features an open wheel formula 1 style car named 'Francesco Bernoulli'

Actual race commentary by David Hobbs (David Hobbscap)!

Main plot revolves around incorporating bio fuel into the race series!

It's a goofy movie for 'kids of all ages' but it also has plenty of winks and nods to gearheads.

I love cars, but Cars and Cars 2 were just pathetic Pixar works. I did not like Cars when it came out in 2006. A sequel would be the most disastrous thing in my mind. Then to my surprise they fell for that! I knew they would screw up. It has become the only Pixar animated feature that has not been nominated for an Oscar. The whole story was just not you expect from Pixar. It was so cheesy!

The first one I thought was really good. But I agree that the second one didn't even seem like a Pixar movie. More like an extended saturday morning cartoon.

But I did enjoy all the racing references.
