Red Bull RB7 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

They were not about the Red Bull, so they were moved to their own thread.

RB haven't been very quick with their high cooling package, might be a tough weekend for them.

define not very quick, because 1 of their cars hasnt been lower than second this season, and the other no lower than 5th.... compare that to the rest of the fields entrees.

Agree'd it isnt their fastest setup but it seems the car is still quick enough.

@Shrek; Im not sure what you are referring to, the exhaust is still positioned at the diffusor edge.

sick!

I wonder if it´s carbon made in an autoclav or just draped onto the car?

I'd love to know how much downforce those cascades on the rear hubs generate. They have become more extreme over the last couple of years and I wonder how long it'll be before they get "clarified" by the FIA...

hmm looks like a titanium adjuster. It seems like it adjusts how much air they want to bleed off the end of the wing and around the tire. Its a very complicated aero adjustment and im not sure why you would adjust it one way or the other yet.

Yes, this is the stuff where charlie has only himself to blame. He talks about not seeing where developments may lead, but he let this stuff get out of hand 10 years ago and this was always where it was going to head.
