In a way that's what they've done. All teams are now able to run with the rules they were expecting to run with when they arrived in Silverstone.djos wrote:This is frackin insane, FFS FiA stopp frackin with the rules you morons!Lorenzo_Bandini wrote:http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/92953

Except Mercedes powered teams who still get fired over-run!!myurr wrote:In a way that's what they've done. And when was that agreed? It was over a week ago. Renault only started their whinging once the weekend was underway.djos wrote:Except Mercedes powered teams who still get fired over-run!!myurr wrote:In a way that's what they've done. All the teams can run 10% hot blown over run, not just MErcsmyurr wrote:

I have read it, and the FIA statement, and listened to all of the P1, 2 and 3 commentary, and read all the other mainstream media reports.djos wrote:read the autosport artlice at the top of this page mate!
For a start its not just merc teams that can hot blow.myurr wrote:I have read it, and the FIA statement, and listened to all of the P1, 2 and 3 commentary, and read all the other mainstream media reports.djos wrote:read the autosport artlice at the top of this page mate!
What exactly do you think I'm missing that would prompt your condescending yet utterly uninformative post?
For me I think the more pertinent question is why Charlie gave the 50% concession in the first place? Have Red Bull supplied the FIA with inaccurate information or false claims that were later disproved? If having the throttle open is so critical to the Renault engine, why did they wait until the race weekend to raise the issue? Why is it Red Bull that are protesting so profusely when they've claimed all along that it was down to the engine manufacturers?WhiteBlue wrote:I wonder why the FiA made this U-turn on the allowance of 50% throttle opening in the first place. I smells as if someone called Charlie Whiting and complained over an advantage Red Bull may get from that. But if Red Bulls clain is correct that they had this engine map since 2009 to cool the exhaust valves it would be very unfair to deny it to them. After all the whole delay from Barcelona to Silverstone was mainly done to sort out such issues. How can it be overlooked that Red Bull were running with 45% or 50% open throttle in the over run? Was the whole process of investigating engine manufacturers concerns flawed? Or was Red Bull using parameters that even Renault wasn't aware of? A lot of questions.
pwned lol =D>Crafty wrote:For a start its not just merc teams that can hot blow.myurr wrote:I have read it, and the FIA statement, and listened to all of the P1, 2 and 3 commentary, and read all the other mainstream media reports.djos wrote:read the autosport artlice at the top of this page mate!

4. Why is Horner the one arguing for Renault engines? Shoudnt it be Renault complaining? That would be like STR arguing for Ferrari engines. Strange...unless it only affects Redbull....
