I know this has been discussed before, but i can't find the thread. My question is, did FIA accept this suspension system or not. I seems to remember that I have readen somewhere that fia didn't accept this system. Can someone please help me.
There is a VERY strong rumour that Renault and BMW were using this on their cars last year. I have also heard that the MP4-19 may have been designed with this technology in mind.
This would lead me to believe that the FIA accepted this technology because there are teams using this currently. I never heard anything about the FIA not accepting it.
no one ran the system at a race weekend last year, Renault tested it early in the year, Williams were rumoured to have tested it too.
However the FIA have said it does NOT conform to the rules so the system is effectively banned (like twin clutches).
It was a mecanical system so I don't see the point in banning it.
