Indeed it wasn't obvious. Hamilton picked up 0.5 seconds between his Q1 and Q2 runs despite being on the same tyre compound.

But maybe the drivers want that lap for practice, but wouldn't it be better to get two runs in Q3 then?
Webber's time on primes in Q1 would put him outside the top 10. Vettel would be very close.
True! But I think they could have got more speed out of them.. True none the less.

So looks like this could be between Alonso and Hamilton, with the other four in with a shot but needing to really pull something out the bag.

Even if HAM doesn't get pole here, I think he's dead set for the race with an extra set of super-softs.

Any bets on what Ham can do on super softs?
1:20.2 what are we betting?

Star sports commentary team did not even pick up that hamilton was on the harder tyres. Its going to be interesting, to see how he goes on the softer tyres, I hope they don't ask him to do just one run, that is just waaay too much pressure.

Also I don't think Vettel gave it his all on that q2 lap, I don't think he wanted to take too much life out those tyres. Watch out for the red bulls in q3.

Webber's well off - reckon he's on his used options. Vettel goes second. Reckon they'll all commit to a second run.

Wow, great lap by hamilton – I would bet ham will sit in the garage now and be done.

My bet in f1manager was 1:19.950 so I hope they will sit down now and save tires:]

So they've all gone again. Hamilton the only driver to save a set of tyres. Looking good so far, now just needs to deliver the perfect lap to seal pole.
