And bringing 5 or 6 special sets of tyres for qualifying isn't wasteful (one or more for practice sessions, four for the four runs a top team will do in qualifying)? Or do you only bring them for a single shot at Q3? There are quite a few of MrM's rules which should be scrapped if you ask me. Testing-ban as well as the parc ferme rules, while I believe that the engine homologization should be losened up, leaving room for at least some form of development.Holm86 wrote:I like the idea of a quali-tyre.
But they need to rewrite the rules. If there will be a quali-tyre then the teams need to be able to have a quali-setup. And that does not work if they have to use the same set-up in the race as they did in quali. So the parc-ferme rules need to be scrapped!
