maybe the star of petrov is falling flat on its face when setup is not guided by Heidfeld?
That would have a severe knock on effect on the campaign and could reflect very well on Heidfelds quality in case Renault drops like a stone now...
let the good times roll!ben_watkins wrote:Personally, I'm glad Nick's going, I never really rated him..
Senna, in a black and gold Lotus Renault.. Wow that brings back memories.
But I won't be too surprised to see Roman G in the car soon enough, once he's secured the GP2 title...
Same, I don't think Bruno Senna will amount to much. For me, the only thing positive is to see the Yellow and Green helmet in a JPS-look-a-like Lotus Renault. That brings back a lot of good memories.jamsbong wrote:I reckon there are 2 things that Heifeld lacks. First is natural speed, and second is lack of hunger. Once upon a time, Button was like that too, but after winning WDC with Brawn, he realised what it took to win and he realise the sweetness of winning the WDC.
Now Button despite lacking in natural speed which he can't improve. He counters with a wise strategic mind and takes opportunities when the weather changes. You can see Button WANTS to win.
Personally, I don't expect much out of Senna. But I really hope to be proven wrong though!
I'm almost(not about Bruno Senna) of the same opinion, but why can't they wait(by that time their development of the R31 would have stopped) for two more races and put Grosjean or Senna in the car. How will they evaluate the updates at Spa? With two "rookies", one of which they admitedlly said not long time ago, has to be held by the hand around the paddock. They are showing their cards, up front, that they are weak financially and this is never good. They should be "flaing" the markeeting department for not finding a title sponsorship for almost two years!wesley123 wrote:So they replace an Heidfeld that does not conform to what was axpected from him with a new guy and they are suddenly under fire? That is rubbish, Renault has all right to sack Heidfeld who has been disappointing all season. And also funny how you guys can see how disappointing Senna would be, he drove really well in lower classes and sure you can base his performance and F1 craft based on what he did in the HRT. I a, pretty sure Senna will do a good job in scoring points and being cosistent.
Now I would like anyone to explain why this is such a bad discision, Heidfelds career was over 2 times before Renault, you'd really expected that they would keep such a disappointing driver when there are young guys eager to drive in the formula 1. Heidfeld doesnt have anything to seek anymore in formula 1, why Renault even signed him in the first place is a mistery for me
whom they can get? Kimi doesn't want back? If Bob's injuries are too bad and he cannot be back the same driver, perhaps they may try to get Massa or Webber for 2013....raymondu999 wrote:I don't understand this. They have the backing of Lotus cars, and can afford to go to court with Fernandes for months on end to get the Lotus Renault name use, but can't afford a proper number one driver? This is a championship-winning team to boot.
I agree on this mark. Development is going to be a bit of a downer, although we do not know how Heidfeld was. Senna is a young guy and a young guy lacks the knowledge that an older guy has.Donuts wrote: I'm almost(not about Bruno Senna) of the same opinion, but why can't they wait(by that time their development of the R31 would have stopped) for two more races and put Grosjean or Senna in the car.
