Nice job Lewis.Managed to screw his own last lap in Q3 but also managed to screw MSC's lap.Drive of the days.

Very impressed by Vettel though. Best qualifier since Senna hands down.

I just hope Button lets Hamilton through considering he tends to attack late in the race.
C'mon Jense give Vettel a run for his money, let Lewie have a go on him.

I hate to see a similar results of Singapore.

Why would Button let Hamilton through? If anything probably Lewis would let Button through if Vettel is out/lower than 10th

to have an early "go" on vettel. not let him cruise away from the pack.
if he does lead on lap 1

button often attacks late in the race, save tyres & save fuel by then
vettel would be 20+ secs off, not let vettel/rbr have choices to play on.
it looks like a dry race tomorrow, not a recipe for a button win.

i hope button proves me wrong but i don't see him aggressive to chase vet

It was Button the slowing down that caused the traffic jam. When Lewis arrived at the chicane Button was still turning in, and the gap between them was gone. MS driving over the chicane was not going to give him a front row start =D>

Yeah, Lewis should have done to Button what he did to Massa last race and pass him in Qualifying. Oh wait you criticized him for that too. So much bias and hate in this forum. Webber was pretty similar too in the way he passed.

Hamilton was too slow. His team said him to push hard and he didn't do that, and compromised Webber and Schumacher out lap.

This isn't quite of the incident itself; but there is a shot of it midway:

Does anyone know which teams couldn't DRS through 130R?

I wanted to see views of the entire lap from Schumi and Webber, if they all came out fairly close, surely they could have overtaken earlier rather than at the last corner...

Couldn't all of them except probably HRT, I know Lotus and Virgin did.

Could (finally) be an interesting race: Vettel's speed against Button's intelligence. Let us hope that it is not another procession; there has been so little racing at the front this year.

I remember Kubi got a flier to nab Mark last year; no? And Hamilton did too in 2009; nabbing 2nd off Trulli; though it has to be said Trulli was on primes and Hamilton on options; and Hamilton had 3 or 4 laps less fuel at that time. And KERS.

I've done a bit more work at http://www.intelligentf1.wordpress.com .

Comparing long run FP times to qualifying make it look like Red Bull are very fast in race trim. Hope I'm wrong for the sake of the race.

Also had a look at strategy options. I can make two, three or four stops fastest depending on performance of the primes, and degradation of the options. I'm hoping that we get some different strategies to spice things up a bit. It might not matter, though, if Red Bull are as fast as they looked yesterday...
