How is that Lewis has 3 tenths in his pockets on Button and Vettel? The logic behind it being?
I think that was based possibly off the first Q3 runs.

Having said that Lewis is running more wing in qualifying; which potentially is giving him a better qualifying setup as he's getting more DRS effect in qualifying.
Lewis is running more wing? where did you hear this? its the first iv heard of it. could leave him vunerable, but also could help with the tyres but i seriously doubt its true, hes been up there in the speed traps with button all weekend...

Button and Vettel gained 5 tenths on their second hot lap in Q3. Everybody with a clean lap went faster. I mean It's only normal to go faster on fresher tyres? Or is that too logical? Let me know why you think not.
Is there a standard chart that tells which driver will improve by how much in Q3 vs Q2?

Q2 purpose is just to advance to Q3 for top teams. Are you sure Lewis, Vettel, etc were pushing the same through their Q2 laps?

Even during Q3 drivers do not always improve their own laptime on their second run.

As for the tires, there are those who are saying they were tires used in Q2 vs saying brand new tires. So I am not sure about which one Lewis used during his first (and final) attempt...
You know, you read but you did not comprehend. Who said anything about Q2?

Ironically I deduced that from the speed traps. Button 306.1kph vs Lewis 302.8kph

In fact they have been on different trap figures the whole weekend; with Lewis always slower in the traps. The closest they have been the whole weekend was FP3 when Lewis went 304.5 and Jenson 305.1

could give him a better chance to fight it out on the brakes in the triangle chicane. Unfortunately I think DRS on the main straight will just produce easy automatic passes as opposed to proper battles, so that may work against him.

@Lycoming - it could. But I would think a lower downforce setup would benefit the car more over a long straight, including the traction and braking phases.

@Traction - and you!

Dirty move by Vettel. Should never be allowed to push another car onto the grass.

Wrong decision by the stewards. Had Schumacher or Hamilton made that move then he would have been punished. It was a clear push of another car off the track and the rules are clear - you cannot crowd another car off the track.

How is "off the track" defined in the rules? Is it even? Two tires on the grass may not quite constitute being off the track. I'd expect it is, since cutting chicanes/corners is punishable as well.

Once the race starts they're no longer in parc ferme so they can change anything they like (I believe).

I've never heard of teams doing this before, BUT, parc ferme ends as soon as the race begins, so teams can do pretty much anything they want to their cars. I'd say it's a clever tactic by Ferrari that allows one-way "adjustability" with various bits of the car.

Pathetic move by Vettel, especially after he complained about Alonso in a previous race. No-brainer move by Stewards.

Hamilton had puncture according to commentary, shame. He looks not really into the race.
