Blown diffuser sounds

Post

I saw this in autosport forums; some links to RB7's diffuser at Monza. Just compare it's sound to the Ferrari's.

Has anyone ever heard a cd made in Japan that mixes F1 track sounds with contemporary Japanese music. It is not over powering, but something that can be used as back ground music. Heard it a decade ago but have not seen anything like it since.

This current babbling sound under deceleration would not work with this sound track!

Nice videos! You can hear just how much overrun RBR & MaCa run compared to the Scuderia. Sounds horrible but works.

Ferrari not only can't use fully their exhaust gases, but seems they don't even try to do it

Annoying how people can pick this sound up on a handycam but the TV covereage misses it.

Call me crazy but as important as the EBD has been for performance, it seems like without extreme EBDs(a la Silverstone) Ferrari has built a good car but just never really put the emphasis on the EBD of Macca or Red Bull.

Yeah when the ban was on at Silverstone Ferrari was definitely at the top. But it's obvious they've decided not to go the same route as the others this year. Even the Louts (KOV) has some serious overrun going on but of course that's the Renault engine for you.

Leaves me to guess if they would've went the same route this year we would be more competitive. I'm not going to cry over spilled milk & I'm already looking forward to next season. The question is how will the other teams fare without reliance on the extreme engine maps...

Sorry... we?

Also, I would surmise that if they spent more focus on getting an overrun working; they would have less time to work on suspension/aero... if you know what I mean; so it's not that simple I feel.

Personally, when i was watching the Japaneese GP, i thought they sounded like a massive high speed fart.

I cannot wait till we get rid of the EBD. Hate the sound of them.

We as in Ferrari. Ferrari are behind this season for multiple reasons, but if they were running the same overrun as RBR & MaCa, I believe they would be more competitive. Case in point Silverstone.

Why exactly is the sound there? I mean, what's the clattering noise from?

The fact that they are combusting an air/fuel mixture with the exhaust valves wide open. I guess each bang is the detonation in 1 or 2 cylinders.
