I say that Kimi pitted 5 laps earlier than what I expected, Fernando pit on lap 15, quite early. The total loser was Ralfie(again), I would say how crazy he was to smashed into Jarno's right rear. Montoya somewhat I think he said the Traction Control didn't work and he got beached on turn 3.
ALONSOOOOOOOOO ALONSOOOOOOOOOO ALONSOOOOOOOOOOO! Great! When I would have been Alonso on the podium I think that I'd have to cry. It must have been such emotional moment for Fernando in front of 130.000 Spaniards and the king.
Indeed, Great race from Fernando! And that's an excellent result for Renault, just when they announced they'll be here at least 'till 2012. It will be the big Fiesta tonight for the blue team!
I got a fantastic start and things were close with Fernando [Alonso] into the first corner, but he had the advantage and I let him go,”.
“After that, the balance of the car was not perfect, and so even though I was pulling away from Michael in the stint, it was not enough to stay ahead at the stops.”
I was reminded of the eight hundred pound gorilla when Alonso jumped back up on his car and did that pose.
Congratulations to all the Renault and Alonso fans, it was a textbook win.
There weren't many surprises, most everything unfolded as determined by the drivers speed.
On CBS, they showed a interview of Ross Brawn after the race, and one of the commentors asked him about what happened during the race with regards to Michaels pace, he didn't say anything for about 10 seconds, just looked straight ahead and then gave some excuse about him something wrong with his car, looked like he was trying to find a excuse.
Driver of the Day- Alonso, what a great race, but man tell Ralf to know how to race, even the commentors said that it must have been a brain fade on Ralph's end on his move on Trulli.[/url]
Simon: Nils? You can close in now. Nils?
John McClane: [on the guard's phone] Attention! Attention! Nils is dead! I repeat, Nils is dead, ----head. So's his pal, and those four guys from the East German All-Stars, your boys at the bank? They're gonna be a little late.
Simon: [on the phone] John... in the back of the truck you're driving, there's $13 billon dollars worth in gold bullion. I wonder would a deal be out of the question?
John McClane: [on the phone] Yeah, I got a deal for you. Come out from that rock you're hiding under, and I'll drive this truck up your ass.
I remember whan Montoya spun out of the lead at Melbourne in '03 I think, (giving DC his last win) he blamed it on the Williams TC. I was sceptical then too and it seems unlikely that it would go twice for the same driver when I have never heard of another failure. I think his right foots just a little too heavy.
