RB had that test rig in Feb 2010, McLaren first used their version in Feb 2011.

Not sure we could say one is different to the other, they look identical to me other than different shaped covers.

Yes exactly i thin the same! But i thik that Red BUll dont need to produce the another wing like Meclaren. Beacuse the could glued the suport "beam"...

RB are running 5 ride height monitors on the front wing aswell;

Interesting. If those fat vanes are really ride height sensors (I can get how the middle one is, but how do the ones on the endplate see "through" the endplate?) that would indicate they expect that relative to the middle plane they expect the height of the endplates to change - i.e. flex along its length

They would measure flex in pitch and roll, ie up/down and twist when viewed sideways.

I wonder how they separate out the effect of those cables that seem to measure the force? Surely the cable will stop the wing deflecting?

Maybe they're so compliant so that it only measures the force? Though they would undoubtedly exert a counter-force

Well yes, but the amount of force on it will tell them exactly how much it will deflect, with multiple tests allowing multiple amounts of deflection you could build up a pretty solid picture of how much it bends and how.

I seem to remember testing like this for the 2009 prototypes towards the end of 2008 (BMW comes to mind) and has been used by some teams ever since.

I think it measures the amount of movement/flexing of the wing. Obviously when it pulls down towards the ground it pulls the chords which will get a reading.
