Being a development driver isn't gonna get you too far in todays F1, look at Ricciardo, he came in mid season and matched Tonio soon after, maybe it would have passed 4 years ago.

But I believe Rubens seat at williams is safe, Dunno what Rubens goal is but he's going like the energiser bunny.

de la Rosa signs with HRT. I must admit, I have forgotten about him. I figured he would stay with McLaren for the rest of his career. I think HRT can benefit greatly from his experience. And maybe Clos can learn a few things from him as well? That is, if he gets signed.

Only as much as any other driver. Tonio's FI inside info didn't do them much good. And I suspect there is some process in place to try and stop drivers doing that. Not that it would be easy to police.

Agreed 110%. However I think intimate knowledge of how better teams work(at least to an extent) would/will help a team such as HRT. Only time will tell but if his knowledge brings a tenth or two that would be big for this team.

Have to agree there. His knowledge and experience will be a great help to a new small team like HRT.

Felipe, baby! Bye, bye! That's what they should be saying. Don't they have a paragraf in the contract that states that he has to score at least 50% of what Nando scores? Give somebody else a chance! Once fighting with a "loose cannon" for the championship is a poor excuse for getting some money from South America.

Statistacally last year was better for Felipe as last there was a 63.64%/36.36% split at Ferrari for Alonso, this year it is 69.41%/30.59% split for Alonso.

Massa is getting worse, but last year he had a single DNF and this year he has had 3, so relyability hasnt been on his side. However one of those was an accedent in India with a rage enduced hitting of a kurb caused by poor judgement on Massas part with a Hamilton overtake.

I can see Massa being the first driver to be replaced next year in F1, De La Rosa will probably do more races if i am to be honest.

By who though? Bianchi? Kubica?

Ferrari have left it too late, which is a shame, because watching Massa get worse and worse is just painful, and is costing them. With a decent back up driver to Alonso in 2010, taking points off of rivals, nando would be the youngest ever triple world champ.

They should have offered Rosberg the seat for 2012, I think he could have been tempted away from Mercedes and would be a perfect team mate for Alonso.

Heidfeld? He'd be a solid reliable number 2.

Good point about Alonso in 2010. However if Massa had been too good he'd have taken points off Alonso ;)

The elephant in the room is Sutil. He is over qualified if we are thinking about a good replacement for

<-------

Sutil has the seat basically, he just has to convince ferarri to abandon the bulky baby on someone's door step.
For Sure!!
