HRT F111 Cosworth

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

You do not you gave them four months, but seems that step by step the team is growing. They aren't RB or McLaren but neither are USAF1 or Stefan GP.
Note – I didn't say "HRT won't exist in 4 months" – I said "I wouldn't be sure enough that they'll exist in 4 months to take a job there".

I don't see the problem with applying for a job with HRT. Taking on any kind of new job is a risk anyway, If I had the experience and qualifications I will go for it even if HRT might not exist in 3 months. Some one else will buy them and you might get lucky enough or experienced to move on to another team. Even if you don't it would still be worth the experience working for an F1 team. It doesn't matter if the slowest team on the Grid!

Why worse year ?

Note that in this table there are 2011 data with 2010 car.
For example 2011 Barcelona and 2011 Valencia tests they did with 2010 car.

This year was for them year of stagnation...in mean of test kilometers!!! They actually test less parts and i havent no pozitive feeling abaout next season!!

Lack of test kilometers!! Why this will bring the benefit to them?? None!! So that is i my opinion bad!!! Look the Mercedes did exact the same and there were no progress!!! Crutial is winter developmend!!! You must test new car!!!

With that out the way, the team has improved dramatically this year, their average gap to the front has reduced, despite having large defects this year from the lack of KERS and the lack of exhaust blowing, not only that, but by the end of the year they'd passed virgin. Last year they tested no new parts on the car throughout the year, this year it's been updated a few times. Finally, the signs for next year are all positive, no one having exhaust blowing, and them having KERS should make up a big difference. HRT are my tip to be in Lotus^WCaterham's position next year (with Caterham having made up the gap to the mid field).

Having HRT is like having Midland and Spyker racing... Why cant someone proper invest money like Vijyal did when he bought Spyker and created Force India.

And yet we loved minardi. I want HRT to improve but will still respect them if they are rubbish but stay for years.

There always has to be a last place team. The nice thing about F1 is the wide variety of teams on the grid.

Last year they tested no parts except a tiny gurney on the front wing and the moving of the wing mirrors- they had the EXACT same car in Monaco that they had in Monza. And this year they ran out of money to pay Toyota, so they ended up about 2 months behind everyone else, or at least so I've been told. I can see good things happening next year, as long as their wings don't fall apart like in Hungary this year

I know what you said. I also know minardi became TR. Many still loved minardi even though they were last constantly. They stuck it out for 20 years, that's real commitment.
