Circuit of The Americas today announced that it has been declared ready to host the 2012 F1 United States GP by Charlie Whiting, who directs racing, safety and technical matters for the FIA. Whiting visited the Central Texas racing circuit as part of a scheduled pre-race inspection and approved the circuit for “Grade 1” status, hence appropriate to host an F1 race.
Site personnel have been saying since way back in the spring/early summer that they were going to be expanding the work schedule into nighttime hours "very soon".strad wrote:told ya they would work at night if necessary.

I've been amazed since I was a little kid about how much work can get done and how fast when you have the money. I could have my dreams fulfilled on my truck in a matter of two weeks, paint, suspension, engine and everything if I only had the money. I really hope now that the funding is there that this track will be done in time.
