Ahem...thats not quite true now is it WB? Yes, that photo was taken by my buddy and posted on our FB page. What you can't see in that photo of only about the western 1/4 of the pit building is that less than 1/3 of the building even has a 2nd floor. Less than 1/2 of the pilings have been set to support the 2nd floor, and less than 1/2 of the 1st floor has even been poured, so isn't that a wee bit misleading? Saying the building is being "topped off" would imply to most people that the other floors are complete. That is the last floor (or roof) that is being cast, so it is termed as topped off.
Thanks to you for the clarification!WilliamsF1 wrote:That is how construction resources will be deployed for a long building that extends some 300 m.
Piling is term used for foundation.
What you mean to say is columns on first floor and second floor not been completed/started.
Topping off is term used for any slab casting of roof slab for any part of building. Pit building in this case may be split to 5 - 7 segments and one if those segments has been topped off.
Thankx to you and your buddy for the pictures.
I think it will be 100 with these. And to think it was done in about 7 hours, it is quiet amazing (if true).Mr Alcatraz wrote:Not bad at all, that is about 40 trucks worth!
