what goes on with this team, why is every pre-season the same? Ok, there first year we can perhaps let them off. But since, they seem to start development earlier and earlier yet the car still gets finished late....

Actually they started designing the 2012 car as late as September. And that was due to the change of ownership and the fact that upgrading the 2010 Dallara wasn't really an option anymore. Yes they are late, and probably short of money aswell, but i still see these changes as a positive step towards being a proper F1 team. You know, design your own car, have a long term plan etc. For the last two years they have only been trying to survive, but now i feel like they have a proper plan for the future and are working very hard to get there. I think Sala already said, that it's gonna take some time to make real progress. We have to wait and see, but atm i don't believe any of the talk about them not being ready come Melbourne.

Only because in two years we didnt have any news about the team and in two months we know a lot about the new car and the team and for the FANS is something good.

In the past two years we have had enough news about HRT, to be precise it was exactly the same news last year. First they say they would be ready for the first test, then it became the second test, then the third and then they barely made it in time for Australia, being extremely lucky that the Bahrein grand prix was canceled

Hi everybody. I'm new on this forum. I am Spanish, so sorry in advance for my poor English. Just some things to say about HRT:

1.- They have ended 11th on both F1 seasons they have been
2.- They say that on the first test they will have last years car and for the second and third, the new car

On the other hand there is Marussia:

1.- They have ended last on both F1 seasons they have been
2.- They said a couple of days ago that they won't be on the first test, they will have last year car on the second test and they will bring the new car for the last test

Comparing both teams: Why is HRT doom (and the worst thing ever happened to F1) and not Marussia?

Because when Marusia have said "this is what we'll do" it's what they've done; by contrast, when HRT have said in the past "we'll make the first test", they've meant "we won't have a car ready for the first race, and we'll get lucky that it's cancelled".

And HRT has Williams transmission since last year.

Which team designed a car with a petrol tank so small that they had to redesign the entire tube to be able to end a race? Virgin or HRT?
Which team appeared on a test on Jerez and had to withdraw from it because its front wing broke without any reason? Virgin or HRT?

Minardi appeared all years in Melbourne with a horrible car, without testing it, but they are still remembered for being there, because F1 needed those kind of teams. With HRT it's just the opposite. That's weird...

Which team had to withdraw from a race because it's front wings were falling apart on track ;)

Some clarifications:

McLaren are running the X-Track gearbox for Marussia this year. Williams are running their gearboxes at Hispania. Hispania are using the 2012 gearbox with the same Williams case. The Marussia case is bespoke to their aero, X-Trac internals, ran by McLaren technicians.

Virgin in 2010 were caught out with 2 problems, fuel tank for high density fuels, whitch left them 5 laps (on an average 5km track) short in races, this left them running in sports car mode for 70% of the race. They had to get 2 new tubs and one tub modified for the rest of the year.

As for the second problem, the front wing was too fragile due to resonance issues and poor QC from a sub contractor. Both were sorted out within days.

As for Minardi, they at least showed up at the first event with cars that were shaken down, and with a couple hundred Km on the clock, they may not have had the cars tested, but the cars were shaken down and ready for action from second one in FP1, not built up in the paddock and gottn out half way thru FP2 or even FP3, or Quali on one occasion.

Whitch, from 2014 there is seemingly a rule that is being discussed where teams must have both cars shaken down and with at least 2 days testing on their chassis log sheets/records. This is for safety, and also for drivers to know where things are in the cars.

If Hispania get the F112 to Barcelona #2 at the latest ill be happy, but untill i see the car arround the Montelemo track testing im reserving judgement on how the team have done their job.

Which team was given false Fuel specs? Yes Virgin. Also it is tub not tube.
Which team appeared on a test on Jerez and had to withdraw from it because its front wing broke without any reason? Virgin or HRT?
Which team wasn't even there at the test because it's organisation was crappy and no one wanted to sponsor it?
Minardi appeared all years in Melbourne with a horrible car, without testing it, but they are still remembered for being there, because F1 needed those kind of teams. With HRT it's just the opposite. That's weird...
Take a look at Minardi and HRT, compare them both. Just to let you know; Minardi was actually ready in the time promised, Minardi had less money and Minardi showed passion for the sport. HRT for example make the sport look like a joke, exchanged hands 3 times already, their organisation is laughable and barely anyone wants to have their logo on the HRT.

Maybe u guys dont know Marussia said they will be in the second test at Barcelona and one or two days ago they said that they will be in the last season of test, so who has a crappy organitation?

Of course Wrsley123 Hrt is and will be the worse team in F1 but the problem is they never been the last one in two years. So if for u Hrt has a crappy organitation think what tipe of organitation had Virgin.
