Yes, you can see that the McLaren seating position was already a bit lower than the rest of the grid. McLaren aren't going to need to make much changes to be within the new regulations. The new regulations on nose height are protecting that lower position. The McLaren won't need to change the nose like Caterham did (thankfully). And from the speculation on the new Ferrari, they lowered their seating position as well.
There will be 2 basic choices, go with a lower seating position or go with the "platypus" nose. McLaren can just evolve the car because they already had that lower seating position.
The teams with smaller budgets aren't going to be able/won't be willing to redesign as many things as Ferrari and will just do what Caterham did to fit within the regulations. So there are going to be a lot of ugly cars this year, but the McLaren won't be one of them.
