1. First driver was confirmed in November.
1. What driver do we got here? A driver that is simply too slow
Pedro de la Rosa is a great driver and that's why McLaren rehired him from Sauber (Hamilton wanted him on the team). Also, almost every spanish F1 fans love Pedro (he is rated higher than Alonso) and hiring him was a great move from HRT, because that can attract Spanish companies for sponsorship reasons.

I can understand that, but my view is just that there are much better drivers available for the job. Possibly also Spanish.
De LA Rosa is a great development driver, but for races he just isnt quick enough. He can be quick on some basis, like he was when he replaced Montoya for a race, but over the whole season, no he just misses a little bit.
I hope for HRT themselves that they make a better choise for the second driver, but the way it looks now they are going to pick another Kartikeyan.
And as for the crisis you mentioned a bit later. Companies will rather play safe than pump in millions in an f1 team that still hasnt got a secure future. HRT's strategy might work, but it doesnt in current environment, and definately not in a bad market that is still going downwards.
