Ferrari F2012 (pre-launch speculation)

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Does anyone know Ridley Scott, so we can get all Blade Runner on that photo.

Or we find a ninja to creep in and photograph the car

Seems more likely to me that there is a generic tast hack tub in the dyno test bay. Can't see this being the 2012 tub.

It's snowing in Maranello. Forecast isn't optimistic for Friday.

Agreed. How accurate does the tub need to be for a dyno test? The test conditions are a bit rudimentary for there to be much sensitivity to the aerodynamics.

Would they really have the 2012 tub on show when there was a factory tour?

F1.com is now reporting Ferrari has both front and rear pull rod suspension, and that the sidepod crash structure winglets are going to appear on the car.

Hopefully this will mean a strong challenge from the Italians this year!

yeah, but the source is still Piola.

Wouldn't it be funny if RB switched back to push rod just as Ferrari went the other way. That'd mix things up a bit.

It has at least one mistake: it says front pullrod is not on a ferrari since 11 years, but that's not ture.

Going back 11 years we have the minardi ps01; to find a front pullrod ferrari we have to go back to 1988.

So it's just a bad translation of Piola's last week contribution
