OK! Not exhaust slots at all then. Just heat protected mats with black strips holding them on?

Is that just a hinge for the 2nd element of the rear wing?

You're talking about the hinge for the DRS or is there something else I don't see ?

By rules, that's the endplate.

Crafty buggers.
They wont get much from it though, but it's something.

It looks like the Ferrari is blowing the inside of the side supports to the rear wing. I am guessing they are trying to keep the flow energized in this area so they can generate downforce over the full length of the wing. You can see the several slots all the way up the wing at the edge.

No, still pullrod. That's the steering arm.

That's the most energized area on the wing.
With that separator by it, it's not going to change much. It will have more upwash and maybe it will draft some of the flow in the middle of the wing, but it wont be as effective as a full 3 element wing.
If they blow it with exhuast it may be more effective i guess.

I thought flow stagnated against the friction of the side supports? That's why they have the slits on the top part to bleed it.

Still a bit of work needed there eh?

Still, that's what testing is for I guess!

I thought Ferrari were using these much vaunted 'exotic' heat-proof materials? At least according to the Twitter feeds I read.
